Apartamento en Sevilla Centro con Vistas a la Plaza Alameda de Hércules - Hasta 5 Personas

Oh dear ... Bath ..needed to fill using shower and insufficient hot water to have leisurely bath (presumably due to size of boiler didn't see it). Toilet flush badly fitted. 2 small thin/very poor quality bath towels, I toweling bath 'mat', 1 hand towel provided for 2 people for 3 days. 2 thin pillows inadequate for 2 people had to roll up clothes underneath Bedlinen unironed very badly creased Ironing board no cover couldn't use ..small camping board insufficient for clothes. Badly finished interior .. all doors badly painted need final coat, kitchen work surface and covered doors poor state, microwave electric cable damaged and wrapped in tape (not insulating tape) , window shutter in double bedroom did not close, damp old plastering above windows in need of attention No cork screw, cava glasses ... basics for spain ! Plants in bedroom not watered ..thus dying ...not a big issue but it illustrated the lack of attention given to the property/interiors. Whilst the location was very handy for the sights and above a bar ... that wasn't the issue .. the single narrow street had buses, lorries and bin carts most of the night ... old wooden shutter windows failed to keep out any noise. The quietest time 3-5 and an old building was being refurbished across the road so loud construction works at 8am. I know owners can't help this but a warning should have been given. There was a terrace .but this was a shared roof terrace and again this should have been made clear. With construction it wasn't a comfortable space. I was so disappointed in the standard of the accommodation .. fortunately Sevilla is beautiful that we spent most of the time out of the apartment ..but had I known this I would have taken my campervan !

We expected the surroundings to be not-very-quiet, but actually they were VERY LOUD, especially during the weekend. A bar full of loud music and loud people is located just below, active until 2AM or longer, then cars and motorcycles, then street cleaning services starting around 4 AM. Add the non-insulating old style windows. Making it simple: do not try to sleep there without really good earplugs. The equipment is not in good condition. The air condition unit in the main room (important as the only heating in winter for the main room and one of the bedrooms) not working - only the second bedroom was happy to have a working one. The infrared heater supplied instead was inefficient for such a big apartment. The kitchen hood had a fan working, but some parts of its encasement were missing, so it had zero efficiency in extracting kitchen fumes. The bathroom doors does not close (and it has not been repaired since some time ago - I remember reading some previous opinion which already mentioned this).
