“Nice place in the centre of Madrid”

Location was excellent, 8min from Sol square and Gran Via. A big Lidl market is few minutes away. Nice part of the city, many cafes and restaurants. Appartment is nice, well equipped, clean.

To be improved

When I made reservation, a few months before arrival, they immediately charged my credit card. When I tried to contact the appartment to check if that is ok, there was no answer. I wrote three times- no answer. I asked Booking to contact them- they did not reply to Booking also, and Booking could do nothing to help me. Very strange.

“Great location in Madrid”

The best

The apartment was very nice and had everything you may need for a short or longer stay. It had a very good location in Madrid and had a very nice view from the balcony.

To be improved

The online check-in progress was a bit too much asking to provide documents and a personal photo at the moment. I felt it went further than necessary. In addition, for a family travelling with a stroller, having the apartment on the 4th floor is difficult especially if you need to take the stroller everyday inside your house. Would definitely mention in advance not one day before the check-in (or mention in advance in the check-in progress so you can take in consideration).

Excellent location - close to city center, very good host, apartment was clean.

Kitchen equipment, also the shower was small and not the cleanest I have ever seen...

“Apartment nice- Access is a nightmare”

It was impossible to contact the hosts- they did not respond to calls or emails. I was lucky my colleague in Spain contacted them in the day and got the key details or I wouldn't have got in. As an international traveller to rely on my phone mobiles service at £2 minimum a day to get into the apartment was a pain and if i forgot my phone i was screwed as they dont answer their phone and there is no way to contact them. They didnt send the codes or anything for access without being chased. Thats not good enough. Shame. It felt like a scam tbh.

“Exceptional”

The best

Fantastic apartment that was confusing to get in at first, but once you master the phone access, it's easy... but you need a charge on your phone to get in. The caravan cafe just down the road was fantastic . Very central for most tourist areas. Watch the step as you open the kitchen door for the first time, I nearly went flying ( no warning ) Shower was excellent but needs the draining sorted as it fills up. Would stay there again.
