“Good value for money and perfect to visit Santander and the Cantabrian Coast”

The best

The host was really nice and responsive. The property is newly refurnished, light and spacious, big kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, living room with comfy couch and smart TV with Netflix. It has only one bathroom, but being just 2 it was OK for us. Easily accessible by car and parking always available. We booked it because we wanted an apartment close to Santander - city and airport - and close to the coast, and this had great value for money. While there, we visited the Altamira Cave Museum, the city of Santander and the town of Santillana del Mar.

To be improved

The apartment complex where the property is located is very noisy, or better, the sound insulation between apartments is not the best and you can hear pretty much everything the other neighbors are doing. We use earplugs at night so we were not that disturbed. The outside area as well as the kitchen window overlook the common entrance and the children playground (you see people passing by the kitchen window, and the private outside area is separated from the playground only by a wire fence). Nothing major, but, personally, I would have preferred something more private. Also, we knew and liked that the area was kind of isolated, but the road was still quite busy.

“Good base for excursions, close to main roads and pretty beaches”

The best

Nice location, small village 15 minutes by car from Santander. Good kitchen equipment. Easy access from the parking, Pielagos and Oruna were very nice.

To be improved

The street is quite noisy, the raised pedestrian crossing makes an awful racket when lorries go over it. It would benefit from air conditioning, some nights were quite hot and difficult to get good sleep. Also a children playground right outside the windows, so not great if you don't like noise.
