Location is prime. Well connected, close to the park, bus and metro stations.

To be improved

The apartment shows aging. The cooktop did not matched the cookware (pan was not usable). It seems the AC needs maintenance. Fridge is small but OK.

Great location for visiting Madrid. Shame about the apartment

To be improved

The advertisement on Booking.com originally stated that parking was on site. When I enquired about this I was told that it actually was public parking in the next street. I was told this after I had booked and paid however I was offered free cancellation. At this stage everywhere else in Madrid seemed to be fully booked so I had to retain our booking. In the midst of this, the owner amended the advert to say that parking was NOT available. I have messages showing this as I questioned it afterwards. When we arrived, we expected to see the 'Landmark view' from the apartment as stated once again in the advert! Our views from the two frosted windows in the apartment (at the rear of the property) were of building works and neighbour's walls and windows (see photos). Absolutely no views of Retiro Park as expected! This mis-information should not be allowed and we overpaid for an apartment which was not as advertised! Apartment 4F

“Very good”

The best

The apartment was just the right size for a couple. The kitchen was well equipped (but no oven), the bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. The heat was a little tricky to control but we eventually figured it out. We also liked the location, right across the street from the Retiro.

To be improved

I think the only thing we didn't like was the construction noise at 8am, but of course, that's not something anyone can control.
