The apartment is really nicely arranged and clean. The kitchen is excellently equipped. It is in a great location, just a few steps from a larger store and a few steps from the beach. I was worried that the proximity of the airport would be problematic, but the airport doesn't operate at night, and during the day, take-offs and landings are really not disturbing. We also never had any problems with parking.

“Lovely spacious apartment in a nice residential area, very close to the beach area.”

The best

A modern spacious, clean apartment, situated close to a lovely beach area. Modern and well equipped kitchen plus excellent internet and Netflix tv. Very easy entry to the apartment via a coded key safe. Very quick and cheap transfer to and from the airport by bus.

To be improved

Due to the apartment location near the airport we had frequent noise of aircraft taking off during the day, something one should consider before booking however it's certainly not a show stopper. Double bed mattress was on the soft side and may need replacing at some point. Nice balcony but with limited sunshine.

Big apartment with anything you need. Kitchen fully equipped. 3 smart televisions and a very nice balcony. Helpful and friendly host.

To be improved

Sometimes we couldn't find parking close to the house. Construction work nuisance in the street (nothing to do with the house itself).

Clean apartment, good kitchen, comfortable beds, cosy balcony terrace (sunny mornings/shaded afternoons). Contact with Mariola, the host, was excellent - fast, helpful communications. Playa Honda is a dense urban area but this working neighbourhood is quiet. Just a short walk down the road takes you to the end of Playa Honda - great for morning/evening walks. Useful shop for basics just around the corner. A five minute drive takes you to Mercadona or it's a 10min walk to Deiland shopping centre for a good Hiperdino. And the planes? Despite proximity to the airport, the noise of aircraft taking off was not a problem (a few in the morning a 20 second roar - no overnight flights). We slept well.

To be improved

Parking - pot luck on the road outside or in a side street. More spaces available during the day. Not many places to eat - the beach restaurants were decidedly average but Pizzeria Il Faro (a 10min walk along C. San Borondon) run by an Italian family was excellent - delicious pizza, good quality ingredients, the house red wine (from Puglia) was great. Especially for those days when you feel you are slowly turning into a giant croquette.
