We were glad to get accommodation on short notice, there was aircon in one bedroom Our host Silvia was helpful and friendly Washer and dryer were very useful

“A good apartment in a safe and quiet residential area.”

The best

A great location at walking distance to a small supermarket and some bars. It was secure and had designated parking. It was in a safe and quiet residential area. The property was clean and well enough equipped for our needs. It was close to golf and the airport, and just a short drive to larger supermarkets, the beach and numerous bars and restaurants in Fuengirola, as well as those closer to Mijas golf. Communication with the owner was easy and by WhatsApp, which helped as we are not Spanish speakers. The owner was quick to respond with questions and to arrange check in and out.

To be improved

An extra set of keys would have been good, as the car park and path in are gated, so you needed a key to get access. No problem if you are a family or couple together all the time, but as we were two golfers and let of a bigger group in a local villa, it meant we couldn’t come and go at different times very easily. We couldn’t get the Wi-Fi to work, despite trying various permutations of the password and contacting the owner for guidance. We didn’t spend too much time in the apartment, so that wasn’t a major issue.

“The pool and garden are nice. Convenient location. Interior has seen better times.”

The best

It is a small appartment on ground floor, with one bedroom (the only room with a/c) and one bedroom that does not have a real window but looks out on the laundry space. A car is needed to get around, but the parking is private and gated. The location is convenient for visiting the beaches, the cities and Mijas Pueblo. The swimming pool is deep and big enough, the garden is well maintained. The view on the garden and pool is nice. The host was very attentive.

To be improved

All the furniture is worn out. Only ventilators to cool the house (except for one bedroom). The bathroom has seen better times. The smell of moisture is notable, especially when entering the house. Being on the ground floor everyone walking to the pool is also able to look into the living room and bedroom, while there is not direct access to the pool from the balcony/terrace.
