We liked the modern aesthetic of the home, fresh decor and the security of the gated area. The large terrace is lovely with views over the hills and out to the sea. We were in residence off season, but the pool area would be very nice in the summer; it was not heated or usable in March. The host offered an excellent suggestion for dinner when we inquired.
Some simple operational improvements would greatly enhance the rental experience. 1) Refine the process for locating and accessing the property. Provide an exact map with exact location of keys (vs the video//photo) and exact apartment number. We accidentally tried to open someone else's apartment as we were given wrong apartment number. Use of videos and lack of exact Google Map coordinates created a confusing entry experience exacerbated by a language barrier. We had to call for assistance; host was unable to assist us immediately as she was busy with a family matter. 2) More thorough oversight of cleaning team: No toilet paper in one bathroom (reported this and was told the team couldn't get it to us the next day as they were going to be busy cleaning other properties. Host said the only way to rectify was if she dropped one off personally, but she didn't. No bath mats, kitchen dishcloths or towels. No starter supplies such as dish soap or bath soap at the sinks. (Perhaps European visitors are used to bringing their own?) We stayed in 5 different properties on our two-week trip, and this was the only one that did not provide these items. 3) The property is not very soundproof. We could hear the upstairs neighbors and within the apartment itself, sound traveled freely from room to room. To be fair, we were not able to use the outside terrace space due to weather, so this might have made the tight quarters seem a bit louder for three adults.
