The check-in time was 2 pm, luckily we turned up at 1:45pm to find the cleaner was still cleaning the apartment. She gave us the keys which we then tested and found the front door to the apartment block entrance couldn’t be opened. The cleaner who was brilliant helped us by leaving a note on the door with the front door wedged open, telling the other tenants not to close the door. if she hasn’t been there, as we couldn’t get in touch with the letting agents we would have had to go to a hotel . The keys didn’t open the gates so we had to punch open a five meter high iron gate, which wasn’t easy and maybe have been impossible for other persons. Picture attached. The apartment had no coffee cups, we had to buy some. There was no way to heat water to make tea, something a person from Britain needs. We resorted to boiling water in a pot. The combination water heater switched off at certain times. The iron didn’t work.
