“Disturbances & Poor Management”

From day 4 out of our 10 day holiday we experienced disturbance from the building going on in the apartment above us. The noise was so loud that the apartment felt like it was shaking and vibrating all day long from 9-5pm everyday. I booked this for my father and myself to celebrate his 70th birthday and I was upset that he could not get any rest during the day. The noise was so loud you couldn’t not hear what anyone was saying no could he watch tv- basically we had to leave the apartment at all times. The weather was raining and cold and instead of being able to enjoy the apartment we paid for we had to sit in a coffee shop for the day waiting for them to finish. Management company agreed to provide a partial refund but then when we returned home and followed up with them they agreed a pathetic very small partial refund and ONLY if we left a positive review. I didn’t like this as it felt hostile and misleading. So I decided not to take them up on that offer and wanted to let other people know that this management company should not be dealt with. Other than this and some cleanliness issues throughout the apartment, it was in a good location with a nice balcony but unfortunately that’s about it.

“Cosy, comfortable, clean and welcoming in a beautiful part of the city!”

The Guesthouse is in the perfect location to explore the city. Close to some of my favourite cafes, bars and restaurants. The host was so warm and welcoming and the room was beautiful -spacious, clean and with a desk for when I needed to do some work. It felt like being at a friends house. The bed and bedding were so comfortable and were a welcome sight after a late flight. Would highly recommend!

“Enjoyable and comfortable stay, great hosts!”

The best

Set in a quiet and charming area, only minutes from the beach, and restaurants. Sunny corner balcony with great views and quality furniture, spacious indoor comfortable beds, great showers, 2 baths, and a well equipped, bright kitchen, good dishwasher. Staff were very helpful and quick to respond and sort out some issues (blocked drainage pipe in fridge and stiff bathroom door).

To be improved

Only one set of keys restricted us a bit. Cushion covers did not smell very fresh and had stains on them. No cleaning spray/ disinfectant for kitchen and bathroom.
