The quality of the bed

First we are elderly and didn't like the fact we had to have an app to get in It didn't allow me to use my phone for listening to music or podcasts in case I ran out of charge The quality of the bed linen and towels were poor also the cutlery was poor and lacking in utensils Some water and condiments would have been welcome Communication with host was difficult as we don't speak Spanish and he obviously doesn't speak English We didn't meet anyone that could help He should advise the fact that the entry is digital before booking We would not have taken it if we had known earlier than the day before we travelled

Getting in to the property is a nightmare! The agreed early check in proved to be a farce. There are no keys but you are sent a link to get remote access to the property. If you haven’t got a smart phone you can’t get in. The “host” who we never met, forgot to activate the link. When we called him, we said we didn’t understand him and to speak a little more slowly to which he replied he didn’t understand us either! He then activated the link and we were able to get in. We got in to the property to find a key to the gate from the road but not the lift. The apartment was dirty. We messaged the owner who said he got the dates wrong and it would be cleaned the following day! You need a key to get the lift up to the reception but that wasn’t provided! We were told the cleaner would give it us the following day! In the meantime my husband had to go up the stairs and get the lift down to me as I am disabled! The key didn’t work! We borrowed one from the concierge and were told we could get a key cut! The cleaner came and on the surface, did a great job. There were no longer footprints through the dust! Nothing is provided! No soap etc so going to the loo when you got there meant you couldn’t even wash your hands. The towels took some finding as they were in a wardrobe! A welcome pack would be a nice touch but absolutely nothing. The spare pillow was a joke, rock hard and didn’t fill half a pillow case. The wobbly, ill fitted taps, microwave, sink, cutlery, glasses etc, etc were disgusting. Everything was tacky to touch and cheap. The microwave was going rusty inside. There are no saucepans (except a huge stewing size pan), no frying pan, no toaster, no coffee machine. There was a knife but no chopping board. The outside terrace is enclosed and the “outdoor furniture” is cheap and rickety and located inside! The water in the shower is luke warm at best. Having a shower was not pleasant. It would be OK in the middle of a hot summer.

Black out curtains would have made it better, it was too light to sleep in and a toaster would have been great.
