“Horrible and unhappy”
Not too much. Shower was funky.
Tiny much smaller than expected. Stating in had a balcony was false representation for me. A balcony to me when I put it on my must have means I’d like a functional one not a decorative one that you couldn’t sit out on. It was nearly there for a decoration. The wooden shutters when open were really disappointing as I was expecting that the mess I could see on the windows would at least let some air in however this was just sticky back plastic fixed to glass to trick the eye into thinking by opening the window you’ve get a breeze. Massive disappointment! Omg from the outside beautiful but once inside the church bells which you are right next too went off on the hr, half hour so loud until very late impossible to sleep and dinged on the quarter to. Added in with a full brass band I could’ve cried. No chance of any sleep as it started up again first thing in the morning. Went to cook my dinner cooker wouldn’t work. Went to travel agent shop next door. They came and couldn’t fix it so in the end we turned the electric consumer box off which re set everything so hooray for that. Started to prep my food. Fully stock kitchen! Absolutely not. All cupboards were empty, what you see in the pictures shown on the booking page is exactly what you have 2 plates, mugs and glass. That’s it! 1tiny saucepan and two very old flying pans. No utensil as in bowls, extra plates. Def no iron. Full stocked toiletries mmm tiny bottle of soap doesn’t qualify as fully stocked. In fact most of what was listed as provides I could’ve culled that down by 2/3rds. Absolutely mid representation. No pool. That was a biggie for me. Cleaner told me the nearest pool was a municipal indoor pool 40 km away 🤯🤦♀️ the bed. I got in and thought omg this is so hard so I flipped it over and totally understood why. It was beyond disgustingly stained and it was the side of the mattress that you should’ve been sleeping on but as it was so badly stained they’d just flipped it over to hide.
“If don't speak Spanish, want items to work, don't want your car towed, walk a mile, don't stay here.”
The person that met me with the keys showed me where to park, and after showing me how to enter, we returned outside. Even though she told me where to park on arrival, I asked again at that point if that is where I should park. She said yes. The next morning my car had been towed and put in a police impound. The apartment owner refused to assist in anyway to help retrieve my car. I asked her to have the employee who told me where to park to translate with the police for me because I don't speak Spanish. After asking 4 times with no response, I went out on the street and asked passersby if they spoke English and could help me. It took me a full day and over 100 euros my car back. The shower water was cold. I tested the water on the kitchen and bathroom sinks and they were cold. The cooktop would not work. The owner sent a maintenance man, he tested the water in the same fashion as I did and returned with a ladder to adjust the water temperature. Then he tried to make the cooktop work and had to switch the breaker in the electric panel. The next morning the cooktop would not work again. The cleaners took my 2 white kitchen bags and I had no way to remove my excess groceries. The owners response to my complaints was that I was the problem and not her or her employees. The police explained to me the color codes for parking, 5 of them, and advised I would be safest to look for white stripes. I am a 80 year old man with cancer and legally handicapped who is challenged with walking more than a block. The closest empty 'white parking spot' was 750 metres away. I am a retired hotel owner who has traveled to 47 countries. My first question is 'where do you want me to park'. I know cold water, broken cooktops and removed personal items when I see them.
