Apartamento nuevo zona General Dávila cerca de las playas de Santander

There was a persistent and absolutely disgusting odour of sewage from the bathroom drains which spread throughout the apartment even with the bathroom room door closed. This made the place at times almost uninhabitable. We complained to our host numerous times but we're told it was an issue with the building not the apartment. I would advise anyone considering staying here to double check that the issue has been resolved before booking. We were told to discuss our complaint with Booking.com which was a waste of time unfortunately. The apartment should not be rented unless the sewage smell issue is resolved. Separately, the bar at the ground floor can get very noisy at night time, lots of shouting and laughter so beware if you are looking for an early night! Finally, there are 5 flights of stairs up to the top floor and no lift so those of you with a dodgy hip, this is not the place for you....if you can make it up and have no sense of smell, well then...
