Apartamento primera línea mar Garachico

There were two of us staying there, I think it sleeps up to six, certainly 4 - twice we ran out of hot water for showers in the morning. Also had to take care showering not to flood the bathroom. A couple of bin bags would have been useful, we haven’t had to supply them previously.

No ventilation in bathroom. No change of towels for 8 day stay. Foul smell at entrance to the building due to blocked drains.

Busy main road right in front of apartment with traffic noise from cars, buses and lorries (and also passing tour groups on foot) throughout the day. Fortunately, this quietened down a lot from about 17.30. The promised sunsets must be visible in the summer because when we were there (January) the sun vanished behind the large clffside to our left, although we did get some colours thereafter on good days.

One night the ‘ cigarette’ smoke coming from the next door holiday apartment balcony was unpleasant. The sweet, sickly smell drove us off our balcony. But this was not our apartment's fault.

There was heavy traffic outside, but only really noticeable from terrace. Good sound-proofing so noise not evident from bedrooms or rest of apartment.

The fact that there was no internet spoilt our stay as apart from not being connected to family at home, we couldn't enjoy the large TV flatscreens that were in each room . There were some local TV channels but all in Spanish which we can't understand. The flat is a bit sterile and cold with bright white light that made it feel unhomely. Lack of privacy in bedrooms as they did not have windows to the outside but to the corridor Poor communication: we were constantly being reminded to take out the rubbish but there was no information where we had to take it to. Also couldn't park in the street opposite flat but there was a large public parking space a few metres away - we only found out thanks to the neighbours who kindly tried to communicate this to us despite not being English speakers.
