“Charming old building with modern amenities in the perfect location”
Location was PERFECT for our family vacation! Close to lots of restaurants and bars, short walk to major Madrid sights. The apartment was spacious and clean. Charming old building. Be ready for the tiny elevator or lots of steps! Washing machine worked wonderfully!
The front door to the building is very difficult to open with the keys and it wasn’t until we were leaving that we were told (by someone in the building) that there was a buzzer to open the door from the inside when leaving the building so you don’t need the key. Air conditioning is only in the living room. Fans only for bedrooms. Tough on hot summer nights especially if you want to sleep because the master bedroom faces the plaza that doesn’t get quiet until really late so opening windows for circulation is a challenge.
“Bit of a mixed bag - great location and apartment, but definitely areas for improvement”
The location is excellent although unfortunately we were there when there was construction work going on in the Plaza which was pretty noisy. It was also a very popular and noisy spot at night, which probably wouldn’t have been an issue if it hadn’t been a heatwave/the air con was working and we could have kept the windows closed. The apartment is very stylishly decorated. :)
It was pretty dirty. Don’t think a vacuum had been used in there for some time and there were some old blood stains on the sheets on one of the beds. One of the small coffee tables had obviously been broken and glued back together prior to our arrival, but it split and collapsed when we put a glass of water on it :/ We couldn’t get the air con to work, which was a shame as it was 34 degrees every day of our stay. Also, the radiator by the kitchen was constantly on, which didn’t really help matters. We contacted the rental company about the air con when we also told them about the table. They said they’d send someone round whilst we were out, but we never saw any evidence of them having been. Also, the keys to the property were badly cut, so getting in was frequently quite stressful.
“Stylish, roomy apartment in central Madrid”
Central, stylish, and spacious
“Very good”
“Enjoyable stay son Plaza Santa Ana.”
Great location and a nice apartment.
Difficulty in accessing the apartment as the keys were not a good fit for the locks on the main door and apartment door.
“Exceptional”
