That someone turned off the GAS valve and I didn't have gas to cook in the apartment to cook the groceries I had purchased while there. If the gas had worked the turn knobs need to be updated - NOT knowing whether the gas was ON or OFF on the stove top is SCARY.

We arrived in the afternoon at check-in time (4pm), and there was nobody in reception. There were two numbers to contact, but nobody replied to our calls for over half an hour. When we finally got through, we had been told that a staff member had given us the wrong details, meaning that we had to walk to a completely different street with all our luggage. We were provided with the wrong code to get our key and had to wait again for the staff to fix the issue. When we finally got into the apartment (about an hour after arriving, when everything should have been prepared), the kitchen was dirty (crumbs all over the worktop), and it was infested with ants and mosquitos. The floor hadn’t been cleaned, and bugs started to gather around our belongings. The bed had two single duvets on, instead of a double-sized duvet which was really uncomfortable, and not acceptable. The shower was cold and there was no pressure (after a day at the beach, this was far from ideal). To make things worse, the WiFi was not free and the building was noisy at night. There was no parking near our apartment, and it was in quite a hilly area which made it difficult when leaving with all of our belongings. Ultimately it could have been a wonderful stay - the apartment was spacious and was in a fantastic location, but unfortunately we felt that we had been forgotten based on the mistakes with assigning us a room (and one which clearly hadn’t been cleaned). After the mistakes had been made at the beginning of the stay, the staff didn’t follow up or make sure things were ok. We were disappointed with how we were treated, and will not be coming back.

Everything was good but it's worth noting that it is a steep hill down into town and the beach.
