The location was brilliant for the main town, the apartment was also a fantastic size with everything we needed for our stay, the staff were attentive and beyond helpful, far exceeded what I imagined we would get

“Great time exploring Tarragona!”

The property was in a great location for us - a 10 minute walk to the ampitheatre, a 10 minute (uphill!) walk to the beautiful old town and a 10 minute walk to the beach. Mercadona was a 5 minute walk and Aldi, 10 minutes. Although the reception was closed when we arrived, we'd been told to press the bell for the caretaker and were given keys immediately even though it was only 1pm! We were also allowed to keep the apartment until we left for our early evening flight rather than checking out at 11am which most places in Spain do. All staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful. Although reception was closed when we checked out, the caretaker kindly booked a taxi for us when I explained that my Spanish wasn't good enough for the telephone! The only issue we raised on the morning after our arrival was the very poor Wifi signal. When we got back later that day, a booster had been set up. The air conditioning worked well and the kitchen was well equipped. While the bedrooms were fairly large, the open plan living / kitchen / balcony area would have been perfect for 2 adults but was a little small for 4 of us. Tarragona is a beautiful city and we would definitely return - maybe to somewhere with a swimming pool next time!

To be improved

It would have been nice if the apartment included an initial welcome pack of coffee for the Nespresso machine and a few more shower gels given that the accommodation was for 4 adults. As cleaning is only provided for stays of over 5 days, it would be nice to provide a sweeping brush and bathroom / toilet cleaner. We did find a brush and mop in the washing machine cupboard located further along the floor which was useful.
