So close to everything. Loved the historic charm of the apartment with all the modern comfort. Exceptionally clean and tastefully furnished. Very comfortable. Restaurant recommendations. The owner even stopped by to make sure everything was to our liking.

To be improved

I wish there was a washing machine, but we were able to use a laundromat nearby.

“I wouldn’t come back- the downstairs unit is barely habitable”
The best

The upstairs unit is nice but not superb. Nothing good to say about the bottom unit.

To be improved

The bottom unit was unfit- imagine an apartment personified by an armpit. Limited ventilation, light and worst of it all the owner is not much of a hospitable character- she’s nice but she’s also has to be right.

Beautiful apartment in heritage building and in a prime location. The decor is well considered and makes the property feel like a home from home. A short walking distance from the cathedral but on a street that feels like it's where the local people socialise. It's on the Camino route into the city so that in itself makes the location special. The market area is a short walk and is a great place to visit with excellent dining options. Maria is a wonderful, welcoming, helpful host. I highly recommend this property for your stay in beautiful Santiago de Compostela.

“Good location, good cafes, noisy at night. If it’s hot, no AC.”
The best

It was a 10minute walk to the Cathedral area. Just a block or two from the market. Good cafes nearby. Beautiful restored apartment. Beds were comfortable. Nice kitchen.

To be improved

There was no AC. It was very hot the days we stayed in Santiago. There were three skylights in the apartment. When we asked if we could open the skylights we were told no because someone had left them open in the past and it had rained. The location was noisy at night so if you had your windows open to cool down you couldn’t sleep from the noise . Earplugs and eye mask would be advisable. This apartment would be excellent for 2 to 4 people . But we were five and had to use the sofa downstairs as a bed. Which limited the space available to move around. The oversized coffee table was an impediment to getting between the kitchen and the dining table. The apartment is smaller than pictures make it look. Watch your head in the twin room as the lovely old stone fireplace is a potential hazard. The kitchen was well equipped except that there was no coffee and when we asked if there was salt for our morning eggs, the agents response was “ Salt, Nooooo”. We thought that odd. We never got salt. There were 2 fans, we could have used three. There was something that looked like it might have been a portable air conditioner in one bedroom but it smelled of mildew when turned on. Not sure if it actually worked.
