“Perfect accommodation!”

We were a family of 5 and had the 3 adjoining apartments. It was a gorgeous place to stay, with a lot of space. Perfect location in old town. It was very hot so the beautiful balcony didn’t get utilised but the air conditioning was great. Beds comfortable too.

Hard, lumpy beds and very limited tea/coffee provided. Not enough plates or basic kitchenware, and no complimentary water—small things, but disappointing given the price point. The check-in process was also confusing: we were told to go directly to the apartment, only to find we couldn’t get in. We had to call the host, who then redirected us to a hotel foyer in a completely different building. This could’ve easily been communicated beforehand. On top of that, being charged €20 just to drop off bags is frankly unacceptable considering the cost of the stay—something that should absolutely be complimentary. The listing also advertised amenities like an iron and hairdryer, but neither were in the apartment. I had to call reception to request them, and the iron wasn’t available for several hours. If amenities are listed, they should be readily available.

We made the booking, based on photos we saw, thinking we had booked a self contained 3 bedroom apartment with roof terrace and view. We're now told photos on website were not specific to any particular apartment and there are many apartments, managed by Boutique Hotel Halo, so we felt very mislead. We were allocated a 3 bedroom with ensuite house. One bedroom had a small poorly equipped kitchen at one end. Cups/plates/glasses were insufficient for 6, and despite pointing this out, the replacements were still not enough for 6. There isn't any shared space for 6 people to have breakfast, prepare a drink, sit or socialise all together. Each bedroom opens on to a shared corridor. We were allocated rooms 1,2 & 3 There was a 4th door marked as room 4. Keys to room 1 were not available at check in. Because we were unable to lock Room 1 door while awaiting replacement keys, we asked if we were the only occupants staying in the house and were told we had the whole property to ourselves. On our final evening we stayed up until quite late. At 01.00 am we heard a key being used in the corridor, and 2 from our group went into the corridor and were shocked to see a stranger entering room 4 and closing door behind him. We did not know if he was a guest or staff. At 09.15 he left room 4 entrance and exited the building. At check out we asked staff to explain this. After looking into this, they reported the person was the owner of the house itself. He has a personal apartment on the floor above which is accessed through door number 4. They have an agreement with him that he notifies them in advance if he intends to use it, but this time he did not. We feels this raised serious personal safety concerns as he (or someone associated with him) could have done this several times while we were there and only was found out because we were up late that night and saw him.
