Apartamentos del Rey

Only one air con unit. Found smashed glass on the outside walkway so I cleaned it up but reported it to reception to get a full clean done as I’ll will of missed some, wasn’t cleaned. Extremely noisey neighbours which isn’t the apartments fault. No hair dryer

The apartment itself - was basically falling apart and in dire need of a serious refurb and energy clearance. The patio door handle came off and there was a hole in the patio door. There was also an issue with the toilet. The kitchen cooking facilities were absolutely minimal and very poor. The absence of Wifi in the apartment is absolutely ridiculous in 2025 - yet it's in 'communal areas' and there are 2 5G masts within a stone's throw of the apartments so this beggars belief. I totally question the legitimacy of this. There was an abject lack of security and lighting on the outside at night and up the steep steps to the apartments and surrounding area and no bolts on the door from the inside - just the one door key. I felt unsafe. There is only 1 key for the apartment between the whole family. Certain receptionists are more helpful than others. The receptionist on night shift was very unhelpful - useless in fact. Reception could be much friendlier, accommodating and helpful. If you are sensitive to noise at night take industrial ear plugs or find somewhere quieter to stay. I think we had night time elephants moving furniture around in the apartment above. Portinatx has an annual party once a year between 15th -19th July (which we didn't know about) where they party until 4am so if you don't want to be up to banging techno music with a live DJ on the beach I suggest visiting at a different time. Talking of noise on the first night of our stay 2 apartments next to us were having a party and got very abusive when I asked them to turn the noise down. I raised this with reception the next day and they did speak with the parties involved and fortunately the matter was resolved.

The apartment was tired, areas poorly maintained. The kitchen very poorly equipped, only two hot plates and a microwave, no frying pans? One of the biggest negative for us was the pool, which in itself was lovely but have never seen to many rules around a pool, no food to drink that is not purchased at the bar, NOT even any water? Also they provided sun beds but if you wanted a mattress you had to pay extra for this? Not what expected? Also you have to bring your own towels, no LILO’s the list of silly rules went on and on? Lastly WiFi was non existent other than the pool area, we had an idea that would not work in the apartment but were given passwords to try and access it around the complex, no mater how hard I tried never got it to work and when went to the office for assistance did not get any.

Electricity tripped a few times and the view from balcony could have been nicer but nothing major.

Only 1 AC unit for the entire apartment, apartment was located very far from the entrance.
