Everything from the minute you walk through the main doors it's stunning , the decor the staff , the location all 10000% perfect. The solarium with the jacuzzi and views , room had amazing views also balcony and swing chair perfect touch.

Our apartment was very well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. This included a Nespresso coffee machine for breakfast coffee and a fan for those hot nights. The beds were comfortable and the sofa was more comfortable than ours at home. The bathroom is large with a walk in shower and the water was always piping hot. We were on the 2nd floor but the view was still impressive from the balcony. Virtually all the staff only speak Spanish but they were all very friendly and we managed to get by with Google translate on our phones. Parts of the room were cleaned daily. Some days they changed the towels and cleaned the bathroom and the next they did the beds and cleaned the rest of the apartment. On the whole the place is very clean. There are plenty of coffee shops, bakeries, supermarkets, bars and restaurants within a short walk plus the bus station is a 10 minute walk.

To be improved

We marked down mainly for the location plus the WiFi isn't great and so the TV didn't work. The TV wasn't a problem, we don't normally watch it on holiday but one night I looked just out of interest and it wouldn't do anything because the WiFi just isn't powerful enough. We lost the WiFi on our phones just going on the balcony. We enjoyed being in Arrecife but it is a bit run down in areas. Some of the areas, especially in front of the apartments, are very tired looking and in need of repair. The road that Islamar sits on is very busy and thus noisy. There is also some long term building work taking place just 3 doors down from Islamar. There is a crane in place and during the week lots of noise and dust which made using the sunbeds on the top floor solarium not very comfortable. It is obviously nothing to do with Islamar but this work looks like it will be going on for this year and next at least. One other thing to note is that prices in Arrecife are much higher than in the resorts like Playa Blanca, Puerto del Carmen etc. A pint of beer in the big resorts was around 2 Euro but double that in the bars/restaurants in Arrecife and meal prices about a third more.

Spacious and comfortable apartment conveniently located in a nice area of town. Taxi rank nearby. Stunning sea views from the balcony. Amazing customer service from the reception staff! Definitely one of my favourites places to stay while in Arrecife.
