Apartamentos La Castilleja

NL: Het is een mooi modern appartement met fantastisch personeel, maar je ziet helaas dat de eigenaar niet meer investeert in voldoende keukeninventaris, terrastafels/stoelen en parasols (juli=heet!!!). En niet voldoende goede ligbedden/parasols!!! Bij het zwembad, waar lappen kunstgras liggen ipv mooie tegels zoals overal in het complex. Echt jammer en gemiste kan. Eng: It is a beautiful modern apartment with fantastic staff, but unfortunately you see that the owner no longer invests in sufficient kitchen inventory, patio tables/chairs and parasols (July=hot!!!). And not enough good sunbeds/umbrellas!!! At the swimming pool, where there are pieces of artificial grass instead of beautiful tiles like everywhere in the complex. A real shame and missed opportunity.

Had booked for two nights. Arrived to meet a receptionist who was put out and asked us to leave as there is no one there. On Informing that we had a booking she gave us to keys. Seemed indefferent. Visited the room, the whole complex of apartments is depressing, it's very big and wierd to get to the rooms, which are 2 floors down. The location is far from the city and not convenient, after 10 minutes in the room we decider o stay elsewhere. As I said before, on informing the reception that we were leaving, she seemed indefferent. Poor location, poor staff and weird layout and not reasonably rypiced either. Was booked through Booking. Com through their partner beds online, which should have raised red flags. Give a wide berth.

We booked to stay here last Saturday, because we were visiting Cordoba with a group of friends. We arrived early, but this was absolutely no problem and the friendly receptionist gave us our keys and we could leave our bag in the apartment, before heading into the center of town. Car Parking is no problem either. The two bedroom apartment we had booked was very spacious, clean and with all amenities. The next morning we enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast (extra cost) before heading back to Malaga. Would stay there again and definitely recommend.

I would NEVER stay here again. This is an apartment complex located way outside, in the outskirts of Córdoba. It is not convenient at all if you wish to visit the city centre, Mezquita, or go to a restaurant or any stores, etc. It is not even possible to walk anywhere, it is so far away. Taxis charge an extra €5 to come pick you up at the complex. The room/apartment is located in a strange setting where you have to take two elevators and go down 2 hallways. The apartment itself was very cold, the heater only worked in some rooms. The sofa was old and dingy. The towels were worn, dingy and had hair on them. The shower water turned cold after 1 person took a quick shower. There was no hair dryer or iron. Other than the one in the bathroom, there are no mirrors in the apartment. The bedroom lights were very dim. We were told to take out the garbage ourselves! The lock on one of the windows did not work and being on the ground floor we felt unsafe. The hallways were pitch dark and you needed to find the switch in the blackness to turn it on. When we arrived at the complex we were told that we had no reservation, we made it online through Hotels.com. After a bit of research we were told there is a reservation through Expedia. Two out of three of the ladies at the front desk were nice but there was one with dark hair who was not nice at all. I would not recommend this apartment complex at all especially with children and without a car.

The apartment was spacious and very clean. It was easy to catch a local bus to the centre. If you drive, it offers free parking, too. Knowing all that! parking was free, good wifi, all kitchen utensils we needed.

I stayed here in june with my family (3 kids). We all loved the pool and the rooms are clean and big enough. Note this is a big apartment complex so I am guessing in busy times that it could get noisy as I was woken twice from a few people late at night. You can park securely on site, and the staff were friendly. If you want to park on site you need to leave a 50 euro deposit. Its not too far out of the city and I found getting into town easy with sat nav. Also there is an ALDI 5 minutes down the road which was good for supplies
