Apartamentos Lemar

There is no host or front desk. When I had an issue I was speaking to someone in another country with no knowledge of the property. There was a whole colony of ants walking through the bathroom and bedroom when we arrived, and it only got worse.

The check in is after 16:00 and the check out is between 9:00 and 10:00, with no options to leave one’s bags anywhere on the property. This is a huge inconvenience for tourists because there are no public spaces to leave luggage. Also, the check in after 16:00 means your day is pretty much gone in waiting in cafes until you can get into the property. No flexibility shown in being able to go earlier. The place was very basic, there was not even salt and sugar left at the property. At least there was a bottle of mineral water which was a nice gesture. The value for money was not there for me, what Booking offered me as a price for this place, I later found a nearby 4* hotel with the same price per night. I booked this place because there wasn’t much availability at the time when I did my booking (some months in advance).

The shower curtain & floor drainage.

The apartment is old and most of the things need a repair: the shower is broken, some lightbulbs are burnt out, curtains did not work properly and it smells really bad, specially the bathroom. The bed in the second room was not made when we arrived, so we had to make it ourselves. In general, the kitchen was supplied with really old stuff (the coffee maker didn’t even work), without even expecting any amenities (maybe some courtesy coffee or sugar).

It was very outdated and incredibly dirty. There was dirt and dust everywhere, and the furniture looked and felt like it was at least 30 years old. The beds and couch were super uncomfortable. We saw at least two cockroaches in the property during our stay. There were no mosquito screens in the property, and even though we almost never opened the windows we had at least 15 mosquitos in the room every evening which kept us from sleep.
