Apartamentos Levante - Mares

There was a very strong smell of mould/damp which irritated us a lot as it didn’t go away even when we opened the windows. The sofa bed was useless, so uncomfortable that only one of us could sleep on it as the other side felt like it was broken. The sofa and the floor were very dusty. The system of the building is probably very old as everything was so noisy from the neighbours, we could hear when they had a shower, used toilets at night etc..

The apartments are getting dated, for example the 2 bedroom apartment on ground floor has ongoing issues with wall fungus. Also, the internet in the room is very, very slow and has not been upgraded in the last 5-7 years. If you are planning to catch up on work or movies, you will have to go to a hotel lobby. There is no cleaning provided, you need to pay extra for any cleaning and buy extra supplies such as bathroom tissue etc. While we showed pictures of masive wall fungus in the apartment to the reception, there was no action or compensation provided.

The water supply stopped on Sunday morning. But fortunately came back on within the hour. Also it was cold at night and we had to ask for blankets at hotel reception (they were under the sofa)

Very noisy in the morning when truck are delivering, also when people are passing at night. The room in not comfy. Meubels are old and dirty, no simple things like coffe machine or even a bottle of water on arrival. Rooms are not clean and stinky (from the time when smoking was allowed I guess). Airco units are old, stinky and noisy. No towels dryers. No bedsheets and pillow to be found for the third person.

Not easy to find, the address is a bit confusing in the smaller backstreets.. (even postal service could not easily find it). Check-in at a hotel a block down, around the corner - is Ok but less optimal when some minor things need to be sorted out.
