Beware – I was given a completely different and much worse room than the one I booked. I booked a 44 m² apartment with a double bed and a sofa. That’s exactly what shows up in my Booking confirmation. But when I arrived, I was given a completely different room! Much smaller, with just one bed and clearly a lower standard. No one told me about the change or asked if I agreed. I was simply given a different apartment than the one I paid for. What’s important is that I only chose this place because of the apartment shown in the listing. If I had known what room I’d actually get, I would have never made the reservation. I booked something else, so I feel tricked and misled. At first, the host tried to blame me, saying I didn’t know how to use Booking and that I booked the wrong room. That was completely false. They knew the truth but chose to lie to me for several days. Only after I contacted Booking did they admit it was “a system error” on their side. For days, they ignored my request to give me the official complaint form, even though I asked four times – and by law, they are supposed to provide it. Eventually, I got it after I came back home. They did nothing to fix the situation while I was there. As “compensation,” they offered me a small discount – just a tiny part of the actual difference between the apartment I booked and the one I got. And that was only after Booking got involved. That so-called discount was just a way to avoid taking real responsibility, not a fair solution. They should have refunded the full difference and added something extra for all the trouble. But the host didn’t even want to cover the basic price gap. This isn’t a one-time mistake. Other guests in the reviews describe the same experience. It seems like this is done on purpose – they advertise better, more expensive apartments and then give guests cheaper, worse rooms, hoping no one will complain. If you care about honesty and being treated with respect, book somewhere else.

“Apartment with balcony for a short stay”

The place was comfortable and clean. We had everything we needed for our short stay. Convenient location if you came for tourism, but for nightlife – it is a bit aside.

To be improved

Some things were poorly thought out. The host was kind enough to leave even a detergent for the washing machine, but I couldn't find a dryer to dry the laundry. I made the mistake of installing the app to access/unlock the apartment, but it didn't work. After a few minutes of unsuccessful attempts, I tried to open the apartment directly through the phone's browser (without using the app) and there was no problem. We used it like that for the rest of our stay and it was OK.
