“Nice apartment, great location, 5* reception service.”

Efficiency of reception staff. A few major things wrong with first apartment (no electricity) but were moved without question to another apartment. Absolutely first class customer service. Second apartment (C) was fantastic.

To be improved

First apartment had no electricity and previous guests had tampered with smoke detector. Second apartment was faultless. Lobby area smelt but not in the apartment.

The best

A very good overnight stay. Check in at the main hotel was extremely friendly, professional and informative. A lot of information given but clear and concise. The first apartment we were allocated wasn’t great (no electricity and the previous people had obviously been smoking and covered up the smoke detector ) HOWEVER a phone call to Carmen at the Hotel reception and miraculously everything was sorted. She was extraordinary; moved to another apartment and replaced garage fob (stopped working) all with no inconvenience to us whatsoever. She called back to check we were ok. The apartment was extremely clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again (very close to the old quarter) but, as we had a dog with us, might take more supplies to cook ourselves but there is a Mercadona fairly near. It’s situated by the river and there’s a lovely walk along where locals preamble. Thank you Carmen for everything you did.

The Apartment on 2 floors was very nice. Large, open plan sitting room and kitchen. Up the stairs to the bedroom and bathroom. (stairs are open with a guard, Not ideal for small children. Nice linen and towels. Very clean. Amazing location, opposite the park so great if you travel with your dog. Easy walking distance to the old town and cathedral. Under ground car parking. Lots of spaces. Aircon and also used for heating. We were cold so used the heat function in bedroom and lounge. Follow instructions in manual. Dial 9 for reception. Wi-Fi good but incorrect information. It is

You do need to go to the main hotel in downtown and go to reception and collect the door key. There is parking outside for hotel guests. Slightly inconvenient but ok if you know in advance which we were told on the booking confirmation. You collect the door key. We wanted car parking and you do need a fob for the garage so I asked for this and was given it. Instructions given to the aparthotel and the car park. Instructions to get out of the car park on foot not given. we used stairs that took us to a completely different building, You need to exit by the garage door then find the correct door for the apartment. We were door 3 room apartment C.

“The steep narrow staircase without handrails, means we would not stay here again.”

To be improved

No parking Infront of Hotel to collect keys when we arrived. Lack of handrails on half the steep staircase made climbing and descending to the bedroom & toilet on the 2nd floor a dangerous and difficult process. Not suitable for older people.
