The best

Central location and can walk to the major tourist attractions on foot, lots of good restaurants nearby. Good AC and old fashioned elevator made the stay comfortable. On 4th floor for our apartment so no street noise.

To be improved

The water heater is small capacity so run out off hot water quickly after 2 people.

Location is great. Staff is friendly and was available all the time. They accommodated small requests for iron, extra glasses etc.

Nothing in perticular. The property is an old one and certainly needs sprucing up.

“Wonderful stay at Hostal Madrid”

The best

Voor de tweede keer bezocht, beste ligging in het centrum van Madrid. Personeel zeer gedreven en behulpzaam, communicatie per mail super en alles goed geregeld. We hadden de zelfde kamer geboekt en was bij aankomst lekker verwarmd. Ze hadden voor ons een taxi besproken voor de vroege ochtend van vertrek en stond klaar toen we beneden kwamen. Al om al een prima verblijf! Visited for the second time, best location in the center of Madrid. The staff was very enthusiastic and helpful, communication by email was excellent, and everything was well organized. We had booked the same room, and it was nice and warm upon arrival. They arranged a taxi for us for our early morning departure, and it was ready when we arrived downstairs. All in all, a great stay!

“The location was amazing, very central, close to all the sughts, shops and restaurants, but still once inside the apartment you couldn't hear a sound, it was so quiet. The three bedrooms were spacious and all en suite. We popped to the shop down stairs for some fresh juice, coffee and pastries for breakfast, which we ate out on the terrace.”
