Apartamentos Mérida Center

The shower was very small and hard to open/close without making it fall apart. Toilet paper wasnt enough, only 1 and a half toilet paper rolls for 3 people for 3 days/2 nights. The bedroom wasnt exactly a bedroom, the wall doesnt go all the way to the top, and the other bed is on the living room, which is not noticeable from the pictures. The person who gets the living room/kitchen bed has to cross the 'bedroom' to go to the bathroom, since it's located inside the bedroom. So basically there is no privacy. The wifi is bad. Right now there is no access by car to the apartment, since the streets are under construction, and there is no warning about that anywhere. We had very heavy bags since we'd been on vacation for a while and we had to carry them all the way there, which isnt great but not the host's fault, but a warning before making the reservation or even a couple of days before the vacation would've been appreciated.

There's no parking space nearby, as it's in the old town, so you have to walk a little bit to reach the apartment.

Pictures look very different from the actual place. Elevator is broken. Heaters are broken - they leak on the floor and are very loud. Many lights don’t work. Patio shutters don’t fold in and make a ton of noise at night. Very shabby decor. Couch is old, tiny and you feel the springs sitting on it. Beds are very old and should be replaced. Not comfortable for a family to stay in at all.

Apt 24B Bit rundown place. 2 Electric window shutters broken, could not open. Dark in room. Sofa worn, holes in the seat, not comfortable. Shower cabin extremely dirty with black mold, smelled and looked not very fresh. Shower head almost totally blocked with grease and dirt. Told host about it, but no action was taken during our stay. Poor or not working WiFi. Lots of other things are wrong or worn here. Obvious no one looks after this place. If you go there by car? Good luck! 🤣

Bathroom had no windows so smelt musty, had mould and the shower door fell off. The furniture is very dated, hard mattress and basic inclusions
