Apartamentos Ona Campanario

3 bedroom very spacious - huge patio area no loungers needed at least 2 as have to wait till 10 am to go to the pool area it is locked up & closes 7pm :-( very disappointing ) No aircon in bedrooms fans available at reception if not ran out. ( Still warm & noisy) No bar to get a drink or food have to walk done the hill 10 min or so there is one cafe & they dont open early either. Handful of restaurants Indian- Chinese -Spanish - seafood all nice. 2 Irish Bars for drinks Most of the reception staff very helpful & friendly. We had a couple of faulty lights no iron & safe did not work it was all corrected ASAP. If these niggles were not in place we would return

The place was very rundown and the facilities were not in good condition. Soap dispensers were horrid and not cleaned. The terrace was in disrepair and tiling was broken and falling off. Toaster was broken. Wi-Fi does not work in bedrooms. Fridge not working. Patio was not well equiped.

Still here! William and David in reception so helpful and kind. Very peaceful place. So relaxing and quiet. Apartments well equipped. Central for travel to Furengerola, Marbella or Cala Mijas on the bus (2 euros). Best Cafes, bars and restaurants on the main drag by the main road next to Mercadona supermarket. A 20 walk downhill, but a 5 euro taxi back up hill to apartments.

We had an excellent two weeks at Ona Campanario in Sitio de Calahonda in November 2024. Our apartment (55) was very well equipped, excellent kitchen, comfortable bed and superb shower with sun on our large balcony all day Shopping at Mercadona was very good and we asked at the checkout and they phoned a taxi for us to get back up the hill ! Fare was 5.80€

Check in was quick. Although we had to wait for our room. As we were early. We had a 3 bed 2 bathroom, ground floor apartment. With a garden. Which was fab as we had elderly mother with us. Only steps down to front door. Then all one level. Very spacious. Only draw back was there wasn't anything to put anything on in oven or microwave. Cleaners only came in once in our 2 week stay. Which was fine by us. Wasn't told where to take our rubbish. Had to ask for toilet rolls and bin bags. Only got clean bedding and towels once. We just put the towels in the washing machine. Pools were OK but a bit shabby. There is a disabled hydrolic chair for pool. You have to ask life guard. This meant mother could use the pool. Small shop in reception for basics. But we walked to Mercadona and got a taxi back. Less that 5 euros. Reception staff were fantastic, booked us our taxis. As mother isn't good on her feet. Plenty of lovely restaurants and a few bars a few minutes walk away. Never had a bad meal. Everyone that worked in the restaurants were so friendly. And the taxi drivers were so helpful with mother. Rooms may be a little tired. But will definitely go here again. As we thought it was value for money. So thank you to the Ona Campanario staff for making our 2 week holiday so good.

We stayed at this resort as a trade for our timeshare week. We were not sure if the unit that we were given was privately owned or part of the resort rental inventory (this is a resort that private owners purchase units). Pros: The unit was on the top level which had a nice rooftop terrace with a great view. The three bedrooms and 2 baths were spacious and clean. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. There is a small shop inside the reception area to purchase essential items. The pools and garden areas were very nice. The resort is located near shops and restaurants within walking distance, but the beach is not within walking distance. Cons: The kitchen was not well appointed with essentials to cook with. We typically get more utensils, pans, etc. at other resorts. There was no air conditioning in the upstairs bedrooms - just fans. The hot water tank is small, so only one person can shower and have hot water. There is very LIMITED on-site parking. Otherwise drive around the neighborhood to find a space on the street. Overall impression - nice resort but lacked in some amenities.
