APARTAMENTOS PORTA NOVA

I can’t really think of anything. Maybe the two kitchen garbages could have been labeled for recycle and household trash. Also there could be conditioner along with the shampoo in the shower. But that’s all I can think of.

One of the rooms had mould in it which was not great.

There's a bad smell on the stairs, and light from the streetlamp outside shines directly into the bedroom window. Additionally, the shutters are broken, so I couldn't close them. When we asked the host for some laundry detergent, she told us to buy it at a supermarket. The check-in process was unclear.

No complaints.

The host was about as checked out and uncommunicative as she could be, and it added a good deal of stress to what would otherwise have been a very nice stay. There was minimal information prior to arrival. As we were driving I asked if we could reserve one of their parking spots. She replied that they were all taken — fair enough. She offered absolutely no information about parking options. We’ve had 8 other bookings on this trip. Every other host offered this kind of information. We found a public parking garage very near the apartment, but found that cars were not allowed overnight. The host left us the room key for our apartment with the staff of the cafe on the ground floor of our building. We couldn’t unlock the door with the key provided so we asked the cafe staff. One of them came up with us, but she couldn’t open the door either. She called the host. We sat on the stairs for a while until she showed up and opened the door. It was easy to get in, once you knew how. She seemed a bit annoyed that we had disturbed her when it was obvious (to her) how it worked. Though the person responsible for giving us the key also couldn’t figure it out. Once we were in the apartment she seemed in a hurry to leave. There was no written information about how things worked in the apartment and we needed to do laundry. She did answer our question and then left. When we were ready for bed we went to close the metal blinds (there was a lot of street light) and couldn’t get them to budge. It only took 10 minutes to figure it out, but by then it was just one more annoyance in a frustrating day. This is a host who clearly is uninterested making the stay easy and comfortable for her guests.
