“Excellent stay”
This place is fabulous for a stay with a family of 4, 2 adults 2 children. There was a separate room with a queen bed and tv, and then the main room had two twin beds for the kids. The room had a private bathroom, basic toiletries, and nice shower. The room also had a mini kitchen. There is a carrefour market nearby to buy snacks and water. If you buy water, buy big bottles, they are cheaper than small ones. Also consider that tap water is drinkable, so you can just fill outva bottle in your room. Overall, an excellent location and an excellent stay.
“Good stay”
Couldn’t fault the place. Rooms are large with comfortable beds. Large bathroom Safe in room. Tv has Netflix an YouTube plus plenty of local channels. Great location for exploring the city centre and Retiro park. Good Irish bar not far away for sports.
“Old, broken, turn down!”
The apartments need an update as soon as they can, every thing is torn down, broken, old. See pictures. The elevators are the worse, but there are other things easy to fix.
“Our Madrid Home for 5 Nights”
My sister and I stayed for 5 nights in thishotel. We were very pleased with our room, which included a kitchenette- cooktop, microwave, small refrigerator. The location was excellent- a nice walk to Prado, easy access to Metro and Renfe lines. The personnel were all excellent, from the reception staff to the housekeepers. We would definitely stay here again. The only negative is that there is robust nightlife in the neighborhood- so a bit noisy. With earbuds and music or a podcast, this was not a major problem.
“Great apartments for this price!”
Great apartments for this price! We stayed in Apartamentos Recoletos for two weeks in November and enjoyed the place very much. Super comfortable location, very nice emloyees and quite fair rooms. Ready to recommend. Location: 5 out of 5. Very close to city center, and at the same time not in the middle of it - i.e. not much noise coming from the street in the night. It's right in between historical center (to the west) and newer districts - nice Goya street, etc. (to the west). Everything is superclose by foot. Very comfortable transportwise: there is a station of Cercanies (Madrid internal railways - kind of metro, but with connection to suburbs) - two steps away from the hotel. It was easy to travel around. Also the metro and all major buses are nearby, within 5-7 minutes. Additional big bonus, if you enjoy running - the fabulous Retiro park is half a kilometer away. It's truly one of the best places to run and to workout in Madrid. Team: 5 out of 5 Everyone was very friendly and helpful, especially the night shift receptionists :) Room service team was also very helpful - serving the rooms every day - everything was quite neat. Room: 4 out of 5 Quite comfortable room. Comfotable beds - slept well on them. The kitchen is very small, but generally enough to cook breakfast or to have a small snack for two persons. Didn't hear any noice from neighbour rooms or from the street. Also, I've read in other reviews, that guest had troubles with airconditioners in the summer. Here I can't tell, because we have been in Madrid in november - it was between 10 and 20 C degrees on the street, so we didn't use the conditioner in the room, it was comfortable inside all the time. What could be improved: There was a bit unfresh smell in the area of fridge and kitchen. Also, in the bathroom the ceiling was a bit dirty. But in general neither of those spoiled the overall impression, especially for the current price. So, all in all we had a great stay in Madrid and enjoyed the place very much, and will be glad to return. Thank you!
“Not staying here again”
It's a good family hotel, location is nice and has a quiet neighborhood. But almost no one from the staff speaks English. Reception staff speaks little English. No restaurant choices near the area, you have to do some walking to eat. Very far from the city center and even on the guided tours.
