“We had an excellent stay in the apartment and for sure we will be booking it again in the future.”

The best

No breakfast but had some cooking materials and some condiments to use in the apartment. Location was excellent as it is along the path of the pilgrims who are walking to the cathedral.

To be improved

It would have been much better if we had been taught on how to lock the door at the beginning. It was a little stressful when we could not lock the door and we were waiting for Manuel to give us the instruction on how to do it. It was his son Manu who came and taught us to lock the door. We were in a hurry at that time to go to our appointment hence it became a little stressful that we could not lock the door.

Airconditioned ... important in this weather (tho choked at 18C). Everything was modern, spotless, and functional. Washer had inbuilt dryer.

The best

The fact that we could let ourselves in without waiting for someone to let us in, the place is like what we call it a studio flat as there is no wall separating bedroom from the lounge and the kitchentte. Although there is a cabinet kind of separation there. The photo above might be for apartamento 18A which is accessible from the main road while apartamento 18B where me and my son stayed accessible from the back. Absolutely clean and tidy and the location above everything else is number one for me as it is a walking distance from a shopping centre where there is a supermarket. Airport taxi ride is almost 15 minutes and won't cost a leg and an arm. Amongst others, one taxi driver, Pedro treated us like his brother and his nephew for the three times we used his taxi. Fantastic place and I will recommend Manuel as a super host as he came to the apartamento first evening after a WhatsApp message checking to see if we were in. Him and his son who was fluent in English and was interpreting for free!

To be improved

Lack of dedicated car park although there was parking space for two cars , but it seems that anyone can park there and there is no guarantee you would have a space returning after a day trip. .I didn't hire a car , but used taxis and trains which of course works out the same as hiring a car without the hassle of driving! .If there was one I would have considered to hire a car.

It was further from the center than I would have liked I wouldn’t call the padio a garden bc I was expecting one:)

“The location was wonderful! About a 25 minute walk (with kids) to Santiago and right on the camino route. The apartment was meticulously clean. The bar Metilde next door was a delight for a coffee and treat in the morning. We wish we could have stayed longer! We loved the city. Lots of delicious food and fun shops. Santiago is breathtaking.”
