“Great location, not so great apartment”
The best

The location was great, central to everything. However, the apartment was very basic, no hooks or shelf in bathroom to hang anything, mould around the bath, one cereal bowl, no tea towel for drying, no wine glasses, no seating, only 5 hangers for two people. There was a constant smell of sewage. Bedside light socket behind pillow which kept switching off or on. Electric socket hanging out of wall.

“Could have been better with some effort from the management!”
The best

My wife and I stayed Apartamentos Santa Cruz as fully paid-up guests between the 13th and 18th October. We stayed in apartment #1 at ground floor. Regretfully we must say that our experience has not been very much satisfactory, to the point that it almost ruined our holiday satisfaction. However the enchantment of Seville made up for that! Pros (advantages): a) Apartment is situated in the very centre of the hubbing old quarters of Sevilla. So much so that almost all the interesting touristic sites are at walking distance from the location b) Cleaniliness of the apartment was to be fair. Let us say a 7 out of 10 points! Cons (disadvantages) or rather disappointments We must state that we booked an apartment out of necessity, as my wife is Coeliac and we find it very difficult to find restaurants that guarantee COMPLETLEYT GLUTEN FREE food! So we would prefer to be able to prepare our own food, for better peace of mind. This especially when we are away from home! Also, our having a quick look at the host’s website, gave us to understand that the apartment is well equipped for a decent stay in a Self Service environment. A) We would have expected to find a small microwave – We had None! Just an electric hob and a kettle and a toaster. B) Having booked 2persons for 5 nights, we would have expected to find at least a supply of towels, say 2 small ones per night. – We only found 4 towels (two extremely large ones (which were an overkill for the environment) and two decent small ones. It was only after we had asked at least three times for more towels that we were supplied another two. C) Kitchen utensils was of the VERY BARE minimum. Not even a small bowl for some cereal in the morning. We had to take our cereal in the tea glasses provided. D) A decent refrigerator is supposedly expected in a self catering apartment. We had a small one. However, not very efficient. The one we found had the door barely hanging for life on the bottom hinge ONLY. So much so, that on mid-range setting it would not keep efficiently cool, so we had to adjust it on the highest setting, which of course then it turned the air leaks through the malfunctioning door, into an ice box. E) We had a ceiling fan. However, this was directly connected to an on/off switch, resulting in going on top speed EVERY TIME it is switched on. Given that it is not always desirable to have to fan going at such a high speed, this one was so badly hung to the ceiling that it swings so violently once switched on that, it presents a hazard of getting dislodge and directly falling onto the bed. A bad experience indeed, should that happen to anyone! So, that also was there more as a nuisance than as an asset! F) We had a functioning air conditioner. However, once switched on, it gives a humming noise so strong that it resembles an AVE train passing by the window. So that also was there more of a nuisance than an asset! Had we visited in summer, I do not know what it would have been like staying inside in a 40 degrees of Seville, without being able to use neither the fan nor the AC! G) The bathroom – it is being advertised on the website that one can take a shower or a bath. Yes of course, we had an old rusty bath (about 50cm high) having a rain shower instead of a handheld one. I would say the arrangement is more of a limiting one than something of choice! Another thing; as one switches on the bathroom, an old, blocked and unbalanced extractor fan switches on simultaneously. This gives a rumbling noise so nauseating that one cannot sustain it for more than a few minutes! Toilet paper; Having a booking for 5nights by 2 persons, one would expect to find at least 4 rolls of toilet paper. We only found 2, the others, we had to buy. H) Luggage lockers – It is said on the web site that luggage can be kept FOR FREE both in ckeck -in and check-out times. This was not the case in our experience. We were asked for Euro 20 for luggage both at check-in and check-out – an additional Euro 40 as they said it has not been paid for during booking. However, we never found the option to include this in our booking procedure and so we relied on what was written on the website – which in our case was not true! G) Forget about the Safe; Forget about the Nespresso coffee machine - we had to by our Nescafe instant coffee. Oh b.t.w. we had two pods complimentary! To conclude, I would say that all of the above can be rectified with a small effort and in turn the establishment would receive better reviews!

“wonderful location and beautiful apartment would 100% recommend”
The best

the lady who came to meet us was incredibly friendly and helpful. the room was beautiful, larger than we were expecting and perfect for our needs. The TV didn't appear to work but that's not why we were there so not a black mark at all in our eyes. The little bottle of wine as a welcome gift was a lovely touch. The beds were comfy and the location was absolutely excellent! Would definitely stay here again and 100% recommend

To be improved

there were a lot of light switches so getting the right combination of lighting in the room was difficult! we were right by the front door so it was a little loud whe people came in and out but it wasnt an issue at all

“Good location”
The best

Good location, very convenient for main sights, restaurants and bars. Traditional style with a pleasing central covered lobby. Sparsely furnished, would have liked soft chairs. Staff friendly and efficient. Good WiFi with an internet connected TV.
