Apartamentos Tarradellas

Quite noisy outside the apartment. I know it's the city, but the windows didn't really keep out the noise. But it was actually inside the apartment building that was the noisiest. There are signs up asking holidaymakers to keep quiet or they will call the police when in actual fact, it was the residents that were very noisy. There were people coming and going all night in to the early hours. They were not quiet when they came in. Slamming doors, talking very loudly in the stairwell and on their phone in the corridors at 4am! Plus noisy in the apartments above. We stayed for 2 nights and didn't get any sleep. The children all slept well though and didn't hear a thing. But for longer stays we would have needed to stay somewhere else as it makes it difficult to enjoy the city if you've had no sleep. Maybe we were just unlucky on the nights we stayed because it's actually a very nice apartment in a good location and the guy checking us in was very helpful. Also, we could only use 1 shower because the other one was blocked and flooded the bathroom. The design of the shower tray is very bad and needs replacing. They said they were not aware of it but there is quite clearly long term water damage to the skirting and door surrounds, so it's been happening for a long time. 1 bathroom between 8 people was difficult and not suitable really. But otherwise, the apartment was a good find for us and reasonable value.

The single room with the single bed had no ac - incredibly stuffy and difficult to sleep. Also the person in it definitely got bed bugs from the place. In the room with three single beds, one person got a rash and another had to book himself into another hotel because the bed was so soft and bad for his back. The washing machine also did not work - all the clothes that were washed in it were not clean and smelled weird.

Unfortunately, our overall experience was ruined by the fact that one of our group members was bitten by bed bugs!! On top of that, I urgently needed a receipt for the tourist tax payment, but even after 12 days and several emails and messages, I still haven't received it. The equipment in the house is quite worn out, and the sofa bed in the living room was broken and unusable.
