“Checking in is a nightmare- Great location- Very Comfortable”

The location is great, the rooms are big and everything is comfortable inside. However, keep in mind. There’s only a few rooms that overlook the castle.

To be improved

Checking into this hotel was the biggest disaster of any check-in process I have EVER experienced. For example, to put in my birthdate took about 25 minutes. And it gets worse from there. Literally the worst check in process of any hotel, possibly in the world (in my opinion). It is the absolute last thing you need after walking on the Camino and arriving there in 38°C weather. When I complained about this, they basically said, “well if you just sent us a picture of your passport, everything would be easier.!” Yeah, like why don’t I just send a picture of my passport and my banking information to somebody I’ve never met before. The staff is not on site. So if something breaks, who knows when you’ll get it fixed. The 7 rating I gave them was a lot more than I wanted to give (like a 1 is what I was going to give them after checking in) but if they just fixed the ridiculous, nightmare check-in process it would be a 10 I would never even think about staying here again.

The location was amazing! Across the street from the Knights Templar castle. Our apartment had two windows facing the fortress. Everything was incredibly clean. The bathroom and shower were wonderful, and the in-unit washer excellent. Everything was beyond expectations. Thanks!

There was nothing to criticize about this property or about the process to secure the reservation. Thank you for all your help. We had a wonderful two nights in Ponferrada.
