“We were celebrating our engagement and told the owners and it was really nice touch that they put rose petals on the bed and a bottle of fizz in the fridge. The views from the balcony was nice. · Cons: The property is very dark and dingy and looks different to the photos. We were also unfortunate that there was a bit of a wasp problem on the balcony - not sure if there is a nest there. We got stung and had to throw hot water on them! Also there were no instructions about parking (despite us asking about this) prior to our arrival and had real difficulty finding a car park and our car got stuck up a really narrow slope at one point. When we did find a car park the owner came to meet us there. Despite us having lots of bags and needing to walk up hills and steps, he did not once check if we were ok or if we needed any help. I just thought that was really rude and was really surprised how he just watched us struggle like that. Also question the value for money. We were going to stay at a 4* hotel with a pool at the top of the town for the same price but chose this place for the views from the balcony and kitchen facilities. But definitely felt like you were getting a lot less for your money.”

“Fabulous mountain view”

The best

Comfortable and well equipped appartment in a small block of six. Nice little balconies. Wonderful views across the gorge and lovely walks close at hand. Capilliera is lovely. Sad to leave. Would return.

To be improved

We were there early in the season and thought the rooftop under the balcony which is part of the appartments needs a tidy -hopefully that will be sorted

“The town of Capileira was gorgeous and the view to the snow capped mountains was superb. · Cons: Heating was insufficient for the size property ( which was not big) firewood was an extra cost, then smoked the property out , we spent more time on the terrace in freezing weather, than inside the property due to the smoke from the firewood. Shower was tiny . The property was overpriced for what you received.”
