The location wasn't bad, close to the metro, although you have to walk to it about 6 minutes. The problem was the noise level of the apartment, first floor, very noisy street and internal staircase where someone was constantly making noise. A child was crying, loud conversations, knocking pots until 1 am as if from a restaurant or other downstairs, very loud closing of doors. The air conditioning is working.

Dirt, dirt, dirt. Unfortunately, no one seems to have cleaned up after the previous tenants. The sheets were changed, the garbage bag was changed, the dishes were washed, but there was sand and dirt on the floor, even pieces of pasta in the kitchen, sticky top. The kitchen is equipped with plates, pots, cutlery, glasses, but only 3 glasses :). The apartment is old, it was sticky everywhere. The table was unvarnished, made of boards, with dirt between them. Sand under the table and a dirty floor. The kitchen floor was dirty, the oven was dirty. The bathroom was cleaned up to the eye, but the floor was dirty, the tiles were not washed, the shower was not cleaned, and there was mold on the silicone by the sink. The apartment may be old, but it cannot be dirty, and here something clearly went wrong. There was a strange smell in the apartment, it aired out after a few days, but it was not comfortable. Probably some restaurant or mustiness was generating the smells. It's a 3-room apartment. The site publishes photos of many apartments.

“Avoid This Property at All Costs – Completely Unacceptable Experience”

I strongly advise against renting this property. Our stay was disastrous from start to finish, especially unsuitable for families with children. The apartment is outdated with barely functioning amenities. The washing machine was broken, unable to turn on, and its door hung off a hinge. The air conditioning was a nightmare: the kitchen unit didn't work, and the bedroom unit made a persistent drilling noise and leaked water, making sleep nearly impossible. Turning off the AC wasn't an option due to unbearable heat and lack of airflow. The shower was unusably small, especially for taller adults, and the door didn't close securely, causing water to leak onto the bathroom floor. We constantly mopped up with the limited towels provided. The beds were unstable and creaky, with mattresses so worn-out that you could feel every spring. As someone just under 190cm tall, the bed was too short, and the blanket didn't cover fully, making for an uncomfortable rest. We reported these issues to the property manager, who promised fixes but did nothing during our 7-day stay. Starting on day two, construction noise from the apartment above began at 7:00 AM daily, with relentless jackhammering and furniture dragging. Dust and plaster fell from the ceiling, making our stay uncomfortable and unsafe. On the last day, a worker informed us the ceiling was unstable and posed a risk of collapsing, halting their work. We paid €1500 for this unsafe and uncomfortable experience. For the same price, you could stay in a decent hotel just outside of central Barcelona with functional amenities and no safety risks. In summary, avoid this rental. It's run-down, unsafe, and uncomfortable. Don't be fooled by photos or location; spend your money elsewhere for a better experience.

Great location situated near one of the main streets in the city and close to the metro. Lots of great eateries and bars nearby. Very peaceful location.

To be improved

The decor is rather dated, and could do with a freshen up, curtains in the main bedroom are light fabric and effectively see through. The main issue was the bathroom which was very small; with a small shower which flooded frequently. We dined out every day, but had we been self catering it would have caused an issue, as the kitchen backed onto one of the bedrooms, which was vented by a high opening on the shared wall. This bedroom was quite dark.
