The best

The apartment was simple, well located, and offered good value for money.

To be improved

The apartment itself was fine, but the check-in and the people managing it were honestly a mess. You’re only allowed to check in at 5 p.m. — unreasonably late — and they showed up at 10:40 a.m. on check-out day to make sure we were out by 11. The couple in charge speaks only French, which is fair enough since the listing is in French, but communication was still bizarre: the woman used a translator to write to me in Spanish, then insisted I reply only in French. Even when they said “please” and “thank you,” the attitude felt anything but friendly.

“Spacious apartment in the center of L'Escala”
The best

This apartment is in a great location for the beach. Old town and restaurants. L'escala is beautiful and well worth including on your itinerary.

To be improved

50 steps up to the 3rd floor. No need to go to the gym!! Paying extra for bedding and towels is not a great idea!! Formal receipts should be given for the city tax.
