I booked then had to change dates. I was booking an apartment with a separate bedroom. I was given a studio flat. However I had stayed in this apartment before & it’s absolutely fine. The location is excellent. Nice touches too on arrival. Water , snacks, tea coffee etc

We were told it had a separate bedroom it did not it was a studio apt .We are 2 single male pensioners and need our privacy there was none.When I contacted booking .com they were very slow to react it took 3 or 4 messages over a few days before they got back to us.The company who ran the apt were supposed to contact us and try rectify the problem they never did .Very bad attitude towards customers from the outset I was going to cancel months beforehand should have

The property wanted a security deposit of €150 transferred into their account! I would have been fine with it if it was through booking .com but close to arrival I received a request to lodge the money into their account. I thought at first it was a scam! Why was this not done through Booking.com? Communications from the host was poor,(I suspect a "bot" was used!) , the room was run down. Expected to remove waste to rubbish bins in the town which were not easily accessible. Unable to flush loo paper!! Am I expected to carry used toilet paper to a public waste bin??
