AR Roca Esmeralda & SPA Hotel

I booked a room from 5th December to 10th December 2025. I arrived early and the room was ready for me to check-in early with no early charge. The reception was very friendly and vert helpful regarding minor issue with the TV getting sorted I was on the 4th floor with wonderful balcony view of the beach and famous rock. Everything was 1 to 10 minutes walk including beach/prominant, pubs restaurants, supermarkets, retail shop. I would definitely recommend staying there as walking to the other attractions like the old town, famous rock are easily accessible and not to far to walk. Thanks and regards Shane McCuaig

We stayed here in August 2025, the rooms are quite dated, but it’s a room For sleeping so no big deal really just a bit worn. The hotel itself was lovely, staff were helpful and friendly. The lifeguard was friendly and found us sunbeds on our first day when it was quite busy. He did remove towels during the week but this was people who had been gone for hours and we never struggled to get a sunbed during the week as it was quite quiet. No big inflatables in the pool as there just isn’t enough room when it’s busy but the beach is right outside to use them anyway. The guests were mainly Spanish, but again this isn’t a bad thing and we had a lovely quiet week here. Right on the beach which was a lovely beach. Food could be repetitive but was all fine, we only ate out once. The lion king show was amazing ( the part we seen because our 6year old was tired) Overall we had a nice quiet week here and we probably would come again if we were visiting calpe.

I booked via booking.com believing all paid upfront all taxes paid. Told later 150 to be paid on arrival. I complained. Appears my complaint was serious and my booking was cancelled. Been 6 times before never will again . Beware hidden damage security fees might take your holiday budget. Should be taken at point of payment.

Positives first Great position right at the end of the promenade and beautiful sandy beach. Very friendly animation team who made our granddaughter so welcome to join in all activities, also a shout out to the pool guy who was very helpful, friendly and watchful over all the children using the pools. Nice sized rooms and balcony, clean fresh bedding and towels, beds hard but that’s personal preference, everything kept very clean. Negatives Breakfast was ok but we struggled with quality of evening food so ate out. The hotel does need updating , but that does not prevent a wonderful stay in this great Spanish resort.

The hotel looked clean and really nice , we liked the swimming pools and that it was close to the beach . However last day we were in rush because we meant to check out at 12 however we didn’t know as nobody has informed us we tried to pay extra for few hours till we pack but we couldn’t they kept calling us telling us to leave . When I walked down to the reception to give the card to the hotel room back and told them that we didn’t know the time for the check out one of the young ladies not sure how she’s called if I knew I definitely would mention her name , however a younger women with blond curly hair and glasses , really rude giving us dirty looks telling us that we should of checked out ages ago . She was not helpful at all and made us feel uncomfortable last day. If you have people working for you make sure they kind and helpful because it lacks individuals off from coming back to the hotel again !!!
