Arcelon Hotel

Staff were all fabulous - nothing too much trouble. Room clean, spacious and bright. Was worried when I read reviews about being noisy as thin walls but we didn’t notice this at all. Rooftop pool great and an amazing place to relax after a busy day sightseeing. Breakfast was superb. Fab selection of cold meats, cheese, fruits, yogurt, pastries and breads. Excellent hot food choices too - tomatoes, eggs, bacon, sausages, beans and more… Would definitely recommend - a fab find a short stroll from metro and amazing local restaurants all on your doorstep.

Pros: Easy check in; Polite staff, Norman, made the whole process easy and even offered us a glass of Cava. Room were clean and spacious especially the bathroom (could comfortably accommodate 2 people in the shower) Candy on tap in the foyer (for those with a sweet tooth). Easy to navigate from the hotel with Clot and Navas metro station close by that takes you to central Barcelona such as Catalunya in less than 15 minutes. Next door you have the local supermarket that is reasonably priced and local shops to eat including a bazaar to buy bits and bobs including souvenirs. In addition you have the Westfield mall which is 15 minutes walk away with plenty of eateries and shops for a spot of retail therapy. Cons: This hotel is not close to BCN airport, it’s an hour away by transportation or 45 minutes by car. It’s not centrally located, to the city centre. There are no bottles of water in the room, the hotel offers a water dispenser to top up in the foyer, which can be frustrating when one needs a drink of water during the night or to up the kettle. There are no toiletries only what is provided by the hotel. If you require conditioner, a shower cap forget it, nothing extra is provided. The walls are very thin to the point you can hear the next room, full conversation clearly. If your room is on the same side as the entrance of the hotel, noise from the street can be very disturbing. Overall a pleasant stay. If you want to stay away from the hustle of central Barcelona I would recommend.

Booked this hotel at a great price in summer. Was unsure because it's new but the pictures looked good. It outdid our expectations. The lobby was really nice and welcoming. There's free sweets and somewhere to fill your water bottle up - very useful in peak hot weather. We were offered a free glass of Cava upon check in. Booked a double room but got two twin beds and they moved us to a different room no hassle, it was basically an upgrade as we'd booked interior view and ended up with a nicer outside view. The room was lovely, modern, a good size and lovely bathroom. The roof with a pool and decking is great. The only criticism is that the walls seemed to be very thin. One night I could hear someone walking around loudly with heels in the room above and most mornings I was woken up with a door slam that sounded like someone was entering our room but it was next door. Overall, staff were very friendly, hotel is located right outside a bus stop and not far walk from the metro and I enjoyed my stay. Would 100% stay again.

Highly recommend this hotel in Barcelona. Amazing & friendly staff. New property (2023) with new fixtures & amenities. The guest rooms are great. The breakfast (included) is wonderful. The room is SPECTACULAR with new tile flooring, flat screen TV, electronic safe, mini-bar and waterfall shower with top of the line linen & sheets.

Had a really lovely stay here. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious and they even put out two additional beds as we were a family of 4 staying in one room. Very well located with 2 metro stops within 10 minutes walk away making it very easy to get around the city. Breakfast had a decent spread with a good variety of options. Our only real complaint is very british ones. While tea facilities are provided no milk is given! So we had to go out and buy our own milk just for our evening cups of tea. Also the cups that are provided are so small that it was nowhere near enough for us and we ended up making tea in glasses instead! Another small quibble was the fact that there was no lock to the bathroom. Easy enough to get around this but we would have found it more convenient and comfortable if there was a lock. Overall though we had a great stay and would recommend

Lovely new hotel with a beautiful roof top pool and very helpful front desk staff! Room was super clean and spacious. Very comfortable beds and about 20 minute walk to the Sagrada Familia. Bus station close by and easy to grab a taxi. Wish we could of stayed longer! Free luggage storage also!
