“Beware of hidden charges. I wont stay again”

I was very disappointed with the way I was treated and my stay at this Hotel this time. I arrived after an 8 hour drive South on the 22nd June about 5.30pm. I had paid for my room in full in advance more than a week previously. While I was checking in the receptionist informed me that in addition to the payment made in full they also required a room deposit. Because I wasn't advised of this in advance I asked the reason why? I was told they had previously experienced some bad clients and they were protecting themselves. I mentioned that I had stayed there many times and was a little put out by this but go ahead. He then typed in 150 euros. Whoa up I thought and said I didn’t want or could afford this, he replied its necessary. So I asked to see the manager to explain my situation to him. He came to see me and after I explained the situation to him and that it would have been courteous to have informed me or had it in their terms and conditions, he said he didn’t have to and if I didn’t pay it I couldn’t stay there. I asked for a refund for my booking and he advised me that was non refundable at this stage. He even lied to me and said that every hotel in Spain does this, being an extensive traveller through Spain for the last 18 years I know this to be untrue. The manager said he didn’t care about the situation and even suggested he didn’t know me and I might steal his Television or something. I had no alternative but to pay the 150 euros and the next day there was another hold on my card for another 150 euros. This left me with 300 euros less in my account for two weeks. I'm sure the manager will have some sort of smart retort as if you look at any critical feedback from customers about this hotel, you will see this is his way.

“Good. Slur for money and ideal for short stop over when travelling through Spain”

Easy to find and spacious room. It is also one of the only service areas that has a grassed area for the dogs. The room was basic but clean and spacious. There is also a restaurant and a Burger King on the site

Very noisy throughout the night due to room overlooking the Autovía. Property tired and would benefit from an update. Very large group of noisy schoolchildren also staying at the property.
