Fantastic location right in the center of everything. Just off the boulevard into the old town. Perfect walking distance everywhere. We arrived late (just before 11pm) and late check in was no problem. There was very little noise from the busy streets below and could get a good night’s sleep. There was a communal area with complementary herbal tea and coffee.

To be improved

There were several lights not working in the room and when using the fan at night there is a very dull light on which makes it harder to sleep. There is nowhere to hang your wet towels up.. the room was in desperate need of a towel rail or some hooks in the bathroom. The cleaner seemed to tuck in our bed sheets and replace towels most days but never swept the floor or replaced the toilet roll. We ended up running out the night before we left and when I couldn’t find any anywhere, had to use some bar napkins from my purse. Upon leaving the property I recieved 8 different scam messages through the booking.com chat. All asking me to input information and provide card details to complete the booking. (Even though it was already completed and payed for in full.). When I asked the property, they said to ignore it, sounds like a scam.. but sent me 7 more of the same messages. Booking.com customer service is yet to respond to my concerns. Because of this, I wouldn’t stay here again.

The best

Despite being so close to the old town the room was very quiet. It was so close to the old town and the beach. Ideal location The staff were lovely!

To be improved

Maybe a little expensive for just a basic room but I suppose you are paying for the location.

Location was brilliant, right in the heart of the old town. The place was clean and comfortable. Despite there being not A/C the ceiling fan was very effective. Read some complaints around noise, however we did not find this place noisy at all, even with our room overlooking a busy road.
