“The old building · Cons: Not easy to assess from Camino Portuguese”
The old building
Not easy to assess from Camino Portuguese
“Very pleasant location, the house is old but well taken care of with a nice outdoor area. Breakfast is well served and the room is quite comfortable as well! · Cons: Obviously we can always wish to be closer to the place we visit, in this case Santiago. But I think it's quite close and accessible by car and with a parking spot.”

Obviously we can always wish to be closer to the place we visit, in this case Santiago. But I think it's quite close and accessible by car and with a parking spot.
“Quirky rooms in a historic building. Large area for parking. · Cons: It rained heavily in the night, and water leaked through the beam over our bed, resulting in a wet pillow. Lighting from the car park to the hotel was poor, and the path and steps were very uneven. Could be a safety problem in the dark.”

“Hope to be back”
Great staff and beautiful place
“Very kind staff, all else very disappointing.”
First and foremost, let me make perfectly clear that the staff of this hotel was VERY kind and helpful and tried everything humanly possible to make our stay pleasant.
That being said, evidently the owner of this hotel wants to save as much money and to earn as much money as possible, to the detriment of staff and guests. All around the hotel, including the rooms, the light bulbs are of the cheapest quality and very dark. The VERY uneven and very uncomfortable pathway leading to the parking is for the most part not illuminated at night. In the rooms there is ONLY one roll of toilet paper! Most doors are likely to be stuck, being not properly maintained, thus requiring quite a bit of force to be opened and closed. The breakfast is despicable, only one croissant and one piece of bread, no fruit, bad coffee, cheap slice of cheese, jam and ham. Moreover, the SINGLE and ONLY very kind person who serves the breakfast (which is not buffet) has to prepare it, serve it, and AT THE SAME TIME attend to guests who might be wanting to check-out, no matter the number of guests present! The rooms are very noisy, at night one could hear the slightest noise, (including snoring) from other guests. On top of that, also loud brummig noise from some kind of electric motor / ventilation device. And all of this for twice as much as other hotels in the region which offered a FAR better service....
“Poor hospitality. No ventilation. Not to repeat.”
Breakfast. Location close to Santiago. Rooms are well cleaned. Changed the room when we asked because of no ventilation in second floor rooms.
No ventilation in rooms. Very hot rooms in the second floor. No ventilation in bathroom and very small impossible to move in the bathroom or breath. Rooms of the second floor with a low height difficult to walk inside. Parking with no light to walk safely during night. No hot water to have bath. Although it is a hotel we asked for a formal recipt (factura) of the payment and we only got a ticket. Finally we didnt find any information in Booking about paying more 10€ if arriving after 10pm and it was charge more 10€ because of that only explaining in the day after why we had paid more when we asked.
