“A peaceful hideaway where comfort, kindness, and charm come together under a sunny rooftop.”
The best

The room was just as lovely as the photos. The house felt homey, with a cute kittens, great rooftop, quiet neighborhood, and friendly village vibes. The kitchen was fully equipped, and Penny and Scott were warm, welcoming, and easy to chat with.

To be improved

It’s 20 km from Málaga city center, with only one hourly train until 9:43 p.m. If you miss it, you’ll need a pricey Uber or taxi—if you can even get one, as drivers often avoid the area unless they already have a trip nearby.

- water container with free water - clean bedroom and bathroon

To be improved

- smell of cats' urine in the whole place because of a number of cats living with the owner and roaming around - uncomfortable beds - 40 km from Malaga, problematic transport - if you want to visit Caminito at the weekend be prepared to pay 45 euro for a taxi to get there - there is no room key, you cant close the door which results in limited privacy - the kitchen is accessible for guests but it's often dirty - the owner living in the place

“Nice homestay with friendly host and 4 cats.”
The best

Good quality comfortable bed. Host is friendly. Generous by telling me to help myself to any drinks in the kitchen. Provided shampoo and shower gel. Lovely town and nice views from rooftop.

To be improved

There are four cats in the house (not stated on booking.com), and the smell of cat urine may irritate some guests (seemed to not smell on the level where the bedrooms are though). Although I didn't mind the cats, I think the cats need to be mentioned in the ad as this could easily ruin a person's trip if they have cat allergies. In addition, I would advise guests to be cautious accepting any advice/information from the host. Although she had good intentions, her advice unfortunately was often inaccurate despite her seeming confident in what she was saying. For example: she suggested I take the bus when there was no bus on that day; told me a taxi to El Caminito would cost 14€, when it cost 40€; told me all shops were closed at 8pm when many shops, including a large nearby supermarket was open until 10pm; and almost booked me a taxi for a time that would have resulted in me arriving too late to El Caminito for my booked start time.

Nice and comfortable room with a private toilet. Very clean. Calm atmosphere. There is a small but practical kitchen shared with owners. Scott was super friendly and helpful. Better if you speak some English. There are also 4 kittens around. Parking close to the house is tricky but there is a large parking lot at the entrance of the town just 7 min walking distance. Narrow and steep streets I wouldn't recommend driving to the house with big cars/van.
