“High quality and convenient”
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location was excellent- right next to a Lidl (great for some bakery breakfast!) and just a short walk from everything in the main city, which made exploring very convenient. We arrived late at night, but the check-in process through the app was smooth and hassle-free. The room itself was clean, well-presented, and surprisingly spacious. The bathroom was also very nice, with good-quality toiletries provided. Overall, the room had a high-quality feel, and although we didn’t have much of a view (being around the back), it made a great base for sightseeing. It was also really convenient to be able to cook some light meals in the room.
One thing that could be improved is the clarity of the instructions for using some of the room’s features. We had trouble getting the air conditioning to work at first. After several attempts, I contacted staff through the app and found out that the AC doesn’t operate if any windows are open. Since one was slightly open when we arrived, we didn’t realize that was the issue. The unit was also very quiet and slow to start, which made it harder to tell whether it was functioning. The TV setup could use some improvement as well. It didn’t have built-in apps and relied on Chromecast for streaming. Unfortunately, I couldn’t use it with my MacBook or iPhone due to AirPlay compatibility, so it ended up being mostly unusable for us. A couple of other minor points- the fridge was on the smaller side, and it would have been helpful to have a few extra bin bags in the room. That said, it was easy to request more when needed.

“A stressful stay marked by overwhelming emails, poor communication, and a serious safety incident th”
Before even checking in, this hotel bombarded me with emails — at least 3 to 4 per day. I repeatedly asked them to stop, but the emails kept coming. To make matters worse, check-in requires a code that they email you three days before your stay, not on the day itself. This means digging through over 15 emails just to find the right code. It's a completely unnecessary hassle. The most serious issue, however, happened during our stay. While showering, the bathroom glass door suddenly exploded, injuring a family member who suffered multiple cuts and bleeding. We were in shock. I immediately called the number listed on Google, which turned out to be for their Barcelona branch. Thankfully, the staff there helped us reach the Madrid hotel, but it wasn’t until 12:30 PM — over five hours after the 7:00 AM accident — that the manager finally responded. He apologized and refunded that night’s stay. We originally didn’t want to make this public, but I now feel a responsibility to inform others. This was not just an inconvenience — it was a serious safety issue. Travelers deserve to know the risks.
