“Quiet and charming”
This family-run holiday apartment block is tucked away a few minutes walk up the hill from Peguera. It has an authentic, slightly old-fashioned feel, so that you can feel like a proper travelling guest rather than a generic tourist. No traffic noise. There are a couple of supermarkets just a few minutes walk away, Lidl for a budget option, and Mercadona for a slightly more upmarket experience, with a proper charcuterie and fresh fish counter. Eroski is another, smaller supermarket on the way into town, which has longer opening hours, so if you choose not to eat at one of the many restaurants and tapas bars in town, there are many options for self-catering. Beside Eroski is a Chinese "general store" which sells almost everything except food, so if you need something oddly specific, you can almost certainly find it there. The apartment block sits beside a small pool area with sun loungers and a simple little bar and shop. The proprietor, Jamie, or one of his family are invariably posted nearby, and ready to respond to requests or gentle conversation, but always polite and respectful of those that prefer to keep to themselves. I got the impression that some of the people we encountered in the bar were friends of the proprietor, or at least frequent visitors. Our apartment was clean and pleasant, with an adequate kitchen area, including microwave, a flat-bed toaster and a ceramic hob. Tea towels and dish detergent were provided, which was great, and the most essential utensils were available, although if you are especially keen to prepare food during your stay, you might consider bringing a proper sharp knife, because the small fruit knife in the drawer was only really suitable for a bit of rough chopping. Consider also bringing some dry herbs or seasoning, unless you are prepared to buy those when you are in Mallorca. Good selection of pots and pans. We cooked fresh fish almost every day and scarcely needed to eat out, so I can make no comments on the local restaurants. We did not use the TV because Wi-FI is provided, and we had our own devices. USB power sockets beside the beds in the main bedroom is always good to see. The bathroom was very nice, clean and modern, and the beds were comfortable. The kids slept on sofabeds, although these might be a little short for some full grown adults. Even though a number of other families were hosted during our stay, our poolside balcony still felt very private. No thumping loud music (indeed there were several signs posted, reminding guests about keeping the noise level down) which might not be to everybody's taste. Personally, I appreciated the calm atmosphere, and the gentle splashing and joyful exclamations of kids in the pool needs no additional soundtrack. There is no air-conditioning in the apartments, so I would recommend paying a little extra for renting a fan if the weather is warm. Definitely not suitable for "party animals" who want to run riot, but if you are looking for a quiet base for you Mallorcan holiday, Apartamentos Atalaya Bosque is an excellent choice. Would be happy to stay there again.
“3rd trip, peaceful, clean and spacious”
3rd stay here. So much quieter than any other accommodation as just a few minutes walk from the bars and shops. Immaculately clean, great shows, large balcony. Friendly helpful owners. Pretty surroundings. Local beaches are beautiful. Quick taxi transfer from Palma Airport which Jaimie will happily organise.
“August 2019”
This was our 2nd stay here, our first was 2 summers ago. We stayed for 10 nights and the hotel was just as good as we remembered and we’d definitely stay again! Jaime and his mum & dad are extremely friendly and helpful nothing is too much trouble for them. The hotel is set away from the town, it’s small and quiet and set in a mostly residential area so very quiet at night. The pool is very clean and tidy as is the area around it. They serve drinks and snacks until 7pm when it shuts for the day. Cant really comment on self catering facilities as we didn’t use them but there is a big fridge for storing water and they sell large bottles of water cheaply in the hotel shop. The town and the beautiful beach are only a 10-15 minute walk away. Lots of shops near the beach, clean toilets with an attendant that cost 50 cents per visit. The beach has a manned lifeguard station so it’s very safe and there’s a guy comes around every afternoon with his wheelbarrow selling fresh watermelon, coconut and pineapple. Paguera has some lovely restaurants most notably restaurant Gaby on the sea front and for amazing tapas Casa Enrique (very very popular so you need to book here) Would most definitely recommend both the hotel and Paguera itself and we would not hesitate to return to both (hopefully in 2020!!)
“Lovely well run family friendly apartment complex”
Arrived for a week's family holiday Apartments are spotlessly clean and very spacious with all needed for a self catering complex Pool area clean and well maintained. The family that run this complex do an amazing job and we could not have asked for a better experience. This is a perfect little gem of a place for a lovely quiet family holiday. The main town is only a ten minute walk away
“Second stay here - love this place”
Many people seem to return here year after year Such a peaceful place to stay. Clean and comfortable. Quiet at night. Jaime the owner is a legend! A few mins walk to all the bars and the beach. Always plenty of sunbeds. Very quiet to sleep here. Friendly. Pretty.
“Best time ever!!”
First of all I didn't go in February 2018 I went in July 2017- august 2017 there was nothing past February 2018 so I put that. The apartments were extremely clean the cleaners were friendly the staff were friendly. And the family who run the place were warm and welcoming! When pair write bad reviews about a place that is outstanding and then everyone else writes a good review it makes me feel bad because we all had a lovely time and seems it was only them who had a bad time. But I enjoyed this holiday so much our view was fenominal. Me and my family had been practising Spanish before we came to have at least a conversation with the local people. Even though we used Spanish there was almost no need as they all spoke English and Spanish fluently. In July this year we will be returning in fact as soon as we arrived home we were on the holiday website booking!!! All the people who have are making this place such a great one congratulations!!!! Izzy ;-) P.s I've learnt more Spanish can't wait to talk better in Spanish!!
