This was the worst place we've stayed in for years! As soon as you get close to the front door, you're greeted by hundreds of flies thanks to the unsanitary conditions from the animals in the house. The apartment was a scruffy, smelly mess filled with flies. We even drove to a Chinese convenience store to grab some insect spray. But after an hour, the place was swarming with them because we couldn't keep the windows shut, and the broken window screen was flapping around like a flag. Our kids ended up with allergic rashes. But the worst parts were: 1. The host didn't care when we mentioned the problem. 2. The property had relatively high ratings. It can't get this bad overnight, so how can we trust those ratings? 3. Booking.com was just as unconcerned. They sent me a formal response four days later that didn't say anything useful.
