The best

This apartment was charming, clean, well-equipped, and modern. Owner was very helpful. Well located. Across from a plaza and park. On bus lines.

To be improved

It is very hard to get to. It is hard to explain this but I will try. A taxi leaves you off on a main road at the top of some steps. You (and your suitcases) go down the steps or a ramp and then wind though some very narrow streets to an entry to the apartment building. Then inside the apartment building you wind your way through some hallways. Then you go up three flights of stairs (45 steps) to a rooftop apartment. This may be typical of Barcelona apartments.

Very clean and recently redecorated apartment on the top of the building. Entry via the roof terrace. The owner was very helpful. Not very far from main attractions

The best

Love the privacy the floor plan provided and being on rooftop. Nice to find amenities like olive oil. It was quiet, very safe, in a traditional building in the old city. Love that clothes dried in the sun in hours (but would've liked more clothespin). Self-check in. Nice host. I would've liked to stay longer if I could.

To be improved

Would've liked better instructions for check in and WiFi info. No lift for those who are physically challenged - was fine for this mid-aged thin female to carry 20KG bag up 4 flights of stairs. Tight space between toilet and bidget - not problem for me for someone who's tall and big - can see an issue. There's a friendly neigbour's dog that comes up now and then will bark at you for a bit but totally harmless in case someone has a problem. There was a cigarette smell inside - I'm highly sensitive - maybe it is embedded in the walls - at least it was warm enough and no way to break in so could leave the windows open - was OK by night time. Would've liked a kettle or a heating pot and a wine opener.
