We were given the wrong address which caused us additional taxi costs. We were only given one set of keys. The apartment was up a flight of 98 steps (we were not made aware of this). The bathroom latch was improperly fitted and was dangerous, both of us cut our arms on it. A wardrobe door came off its hinges when being opened. There was a heavy framed miirror which was unsafe, as it was left resting against a wall and could have toppled over. The beldinnen had some holes in the side. The cupboard under the bathroom sink was full of tiling and plastering equipent. we were not provided with any instuctions for the use of kitchen appliances. A BIT OF EFFORT AND FEW EUROS SPENT ON MAINTENANCE WOULD HAVE CREATED A MUCH BETTER IMPRESSION.

When booking we were not aware that our apartment, 82d, was at the very top of the complex with no lift. On the night we arrived our taxi left us on the lower road and we had no idea where to go. It was dark but luckily enough a gentleman from the mini market was able to direct us but said it was going to be difficult to carry our suitcases up it was so high. As it turned out there were over over 230 steps up to the apartment and to say we were exhausted trying to carry our suitcases up is not an exaggeration. My husband is in his 70’s and really struggled with the climb so I requested a transfer of apartment with bookings.com but they simply referred me back to the host who had just the one apartment. So a totally useless exercise. We booked the apartment for three weeks which curtailed our leaving the apartment more than once a day. Carrying water and supplies from the supermarket was a daily ordeal and definitely not for the elderly or unfit.
