The location is conveniently close to restaurants and tourist attractions.
Despite some issues, the stay in Madrid was enjoyable overall.
Food options nearby are plentiful and enjoyable.
The service was problematic, with excessive communication about check-in and unresponsiveness to complaints.
The apartment had basic amenities but lacked sufficient coffee supplies for the number of guests.
Given the overall negative experience, the perceived value for money is lower.
“Amazing stay in the heat of Madrid”
The apartment is very bright and spacious. It has all the facilities for comfortable stay. The street is busy but you don’t hear it with the closed windows. Everything is in walking distance, nice restaurants, bars, all tourist attractions are very much around. We enjoyed the stay very much and definitely recommend this apartment.
Just a little thing to mention: we were 5 people but the apartment staff left just 2 coffee capsules in the kitchen 😅 not a big deal but we were disappointed that we had to go to the grocery store in the morning to buy capsules. We didn’t expect that. So would be nice if you leave the number of capsules according to the number of guests. At least for the first morning.
“Very poor”
The day before my stay, I was informed that there was a boiler issue and the unit was not available. I was offered a smaller apartment with no balcony in a totally different location, listed for a much lower price. This meant that it was no longer convenient to travel to and from the airport by train, so we had to spend an extra 60 euros on cars. The company refused to officially make the change on booking.com, which seemed extremely sketchy - it still shows us as having stayed at this location, which we were never given access to. But I accepted the other apartment because I had no time to find something else. I picked up a vase to move it to use the pull out sofa and it cracked in my hands. They charged 30 euros for it; it can be purchased for 5 at ikea. The sink and shower drained slowly. It was unsanitary and annoying. I reported to the company and they did nothing. They provided only 2 rolls of toilet paper for three people for three days. The furniture was worn out and gross and the sofa bed was horribly cheap and uncomfortable. Horrible experience. This was all after they nagged me day and night for over two weeks via WhatsApp to check in, despite my repeated requests that they stop messaging me and my assurance that I would check in closer to the date of my stay.
“Disappointing stay due to unresolved air conditioning issues and poor communication after checkout.”
Location was good.
The apartment had serious air conditioning issues that made our 3-night stay very uncomfortable, especially while traveling with kids and dealing with jet lag. We were moved to another unit after the first night, but the new one also had a leaking AC in the master bedroom, which was never repaired during our stay. The property told me they were taking my complaints seriously, but after I checked out, they completely stopped responding to my messages — very unprofessional. The experience was far below expectations.
“Lovely stay”
Centrally located on Main Street. Modern 2 bedroom apartment in an old building
Second bedroom was quite small
“Superb”
“Amazing”
We had a wonderful stay in Madrid. The location is absolutely perfect — surrounded by great bars, restaurants, and shops, with a metro station right in front of the building, making it incredibly convenient to get around the city. The host was fantastic: very friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. Everything went smoothly, and we truly felt at home. I can’t wait to come back!
